Christmas Wreath on homemade Grapevine base

I was so excited for Christmas season. I've been wanting to design a Christmas theme on this 24x39 grapevine base I made earlier this year. Back in the summer a tree fell in our woods during a storm.....and we didn’t hear it...the tree. LOL.  My husband said he found it on the ground and saw the grapevine growing in the top of it.  He asked if I would like the grapevine for a craft......ummm YES!  He pulled a lot of the vine out ....so sweet.  We was able to make three oval wreaths.....yes he helped..that was also sweet of him. All of them ended up being 24" wide, two are 30" tall and the other one is 39" tall.  The wreaths all turned out really full and heavvvvy. I choose the tallest one for my front door. It was just so awesome that I couldn’t resist. For the design, I did not want to cover up much of the grapevine...I wanted to showcase it so I just did a simple design. I think it was just the right amount. WOW just look how gorgeous it is!!  I thought it might be too big for my door...maybe...maybe not.  I love it on there!  I decided to keep the rest of the decor on my porch simple. I mean with a wreath that size I didn’t need really need anything else on this little porch..right. LOL.  The crafter in me is hollering....make a wood log slice snowman and put the sled out and more greenery in the planting pots...yeah, I’m trying to quiet that voice. LOL.

But stepping back and looking at it, less is more.  It's balanced...kinda of vintage and quaint looking....serene.  I love it!
